Why Kenny Sol Traveled to Canada
Rwandan singer Kenny Sol has recently been in Canada, where he arrived on September 18, 2025. His visit has two main purposes: celebrating his elder brother’s birthday with family and filming visuals for an upcoming song.
A source close to the artist confirmed: “Yes, Kenny Sol traveled to Canada starting September 18. In addition to attending his brother’s birthday, he is working on a new music video.”
His stay is expected to be brief, with reports suggesting he will return to Kigali within two weeks.
Kenny Sol has been pursuing his career independently since parting ways with 1:55AM Ltd, the label he previously worked with. Soon after the split, he released Déjà vu, a single that was warmly received by fans.
A graduate of Rwanda’s music school, Kenny Sol has steadily become one of the country’s most admired artists. Earlier this year, he dropped an EP titled Stronger Than Before, which highlighted his evolving style and reinforced his place in the music industry.
