Addressing questions about whether he would give a platform to artists such as Mr Kagame and Gisa Kinganzo who have publicly asked this opportunity. Ben noted that many artists have expressed interest, meaning a selection process would be necessary, but emphasized that all of them still stand a chance. However, when the issue was raised again by journalist Irene Murindahabi, The Ben later confirmed that Gisa Kinganzo will indeed be given a slot at the concert.
On whether fans should expect a joint song from the two artists anytime soon, Bruce Melodie suggested that it is not happening in the near future, asking their supporters to be patient and enjoy what they are currently preparing for them.
Bruce Melodie declined to disclose how much he was paid to agree to perform at the concert, saying, “We are here because of the January 1 concert, and it would be best if we focus on that.”
