According to his wife Paula Kajala, the visuals for “Njozi” sparked arguments between her and Marioo due to the female model who appears alongside him in several romantic scenes.
Paula took to her social media accounts to express her frustration shortly after the video premiered, writing: “The music video that caused me to argue with my husband is finally out. Go and watch it!”

Sources close to the couple say the video’s release had been delayed for weeks because Paula was uncomfortable with some scenes showing Marioo in close contact with the model.
After several days of disagreement, the “Njozi” video was officially released on Monday, October 13, 2025. Producer Element EleéeH was in Tanzania for the project’s completion and promotion.

The song, produced by Element, is part of Marioo’s new album titled “The Godson.” It highlights the growing collaboration between Rwandan and Tanzanian artists, particularly between Element EleéeH and Marioo, who remains one of Tanzania’s most popular hitmakers.
