The Grammy-winning singer announced the happy news on Instagram on Wednesday, September 24, sharing that the couple’s new arrival is a baby girl named Rocki Irish Mayers, born on September 13, 2025.

The couple are already parents to two sons: RZA, 3, and Riot, 2.

Just a day before the announcement, A$AP Rocky  whose real name is Rakim Mayers spoke with Elle about his hopes for their third child, revealing that he and Rihanna had been wishing for a daughter.

“I hope it’s a girl. I really do. We’re praying for a girl,” he said in the interview published September 23. “Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn’t want to know. Third time, we don’t want to know until, you know. But I feel like it’s going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two. You can tell from the experience. I hope it’s a baby girl, man. I need that.”

It remains unclear whether the interview was conducted before or after Rocki’s birth.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s love story began years before parenthood. Though they first crossed paths in 2012, the pair did not officially start dating until late 2019. They welcomed their first son in 2022, followed by their second son in 2023, a pregnancy Rihanna famously revealed during her electrifying Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.
