Papa Cyangwe Reveals He Was Kicked Out of Home After Pregnancy Rumors
Rapper Papa Cyangwe, who recently announced the birth of his first child with his partner, has revealed that he was once expelled from his family home after rumors circulated that he had impregnated a young woman.
the rapper said the decision came after persistent claims that he was responsible for a pregnancy allegations he insists were untrue.
According to him, the situation escalated when a journalist known as Fatakumavuta, who was familiar with the girl he was dating at the time, publicly alleged that Papa Cyangwe had impregnated her and even claimed to possess evidence. “When the journalist reported that I had made the girl pregnant, my mother saw it and decided to kick me out of the house,” he recounted.
He says his mother told him she could not live with “two grown men” under one roof and that if he was old enough to cause a pregnancy, he was old enough to move out. “I remember it well. I was an artist already making some money, so I moved out and rented an apartment. But as time passed, I realized it wasn’t sustainable and eventually started looking for a more affordable house.”
Papa Cyangwe describes the incident as painful but transformative an experience that pushed him to mature and take responsibility for his life.
Impact on His Former Relationship
The rapper added that the rumors did not only affect him but also harmed his relationship at the time. His girlfriend’s family, he said, reacted negatively to the scandal, which ultimately contributed to the couple’s breakup.
Finding Love Where He Least Expected
Despite losing both his home and his girlfriend, Papa Cyangwe says the difficult period eventually led him to the woman who is now the mother of his first child.
After the breakup, he continued visiting a place he used to go with his ex-girlfriend. There, he built a friendship with a woman who worked at the venue. “She used to welcome us whenever my ex and I went there. After we separated, I kept going, and she would ask where my partner was. Eventually, I told her the truth that we had broken up. From there, we started talking more, and our friendship grew into a relationship. Today, God has blessed us with our first child.”

Papa Cyangwe shared his story ahead of his upcoming concert celebrating five years in the music industry, scheduled for November 22, 2025, at Kigali Universe.
