Nyabihu district official arrested
The Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) says it has arrested Twagirayezu Jean Paul, the Director of Public Services in Nyabihu District.
In a statement released by RIB on Sunday morning, the agency said he is being investigated for unlawful enrichment and failing to declare his assets to the Office of the Ombudsman as required by law.
He is currently being detained at the RIB station in Rwezamenyo while his case file is being processed before being forwarded to the Prosecution.
RIB reminded public employees who are legally required to declare their assets to always provide full and accurate information, warning that failure to do so is punishable by law.
