Kourtney Kardashian Stuns Travis Barker with an Epic Halloween Scare Zone at Their Home
Kourtney Kardashian Barker has once again proven that no one celebrates Halloween quite like she does this time, by pulling off a jaw-dropping surprise for her husband, Travis Barker.
On Tuesday, October 7, the Kardashians star transformed their California home into a full-fledged horror zone inspired by The Black Phone 2, complete with eerie smoke, flashing lights, and costumed actors all with the help of Universal Studios.
The spooky surprise came right after the couple had gone out to watch The Black Phone 2 at the movie theater. In a series of clips shared on Kourtney’s Instagram Stories, the 46-year-old reality star revealed how she took her Halloween enthusiasm to new heights, creating a live horror experience for Travis, 49.
Her first post showed a photo from the theater with the caption, “Took my husband to the movies blackphonemovie.” What Travis didn’t know was that the real horror was waiting for him at home.
When the pair arrived, the exterior of their home had been completely transformed — featuring a blood-smeared scare actor, a creepy phone booth, and clouds of haunting fog. “Had to have a scary setup when we got home from the theatre unistudios went crazy,” Kourtney wrote, adding, “Of course I didn’t tell travisbarker in advance.”
As Travis pulled into the driveway, an actor portraying Finn, the film’s main character began shouting frantically, “Get out of the car! He’s coming! Answer the phone!” Kourtney, filming from behind the camera, could be heard giggling and urging her husband, “Go answer the phone!”
Laughing nervously, Travis replied, “Oh my God! You gotta let me out of the car!” as Kourtney continued to record the hilarious moment.
Their son, Landon Barker, 21, was also filming as his dad approached the mysterious phone booth, which played snippets from the movie. When Travis finally picked up the receiver, Kourtney captioned the clip, “Love surprising travisbarker.”
The spooky tour continued as the couple walked through the setup, encountering actors dressed as The Grabber, the film’s menacing villain. A van nearby displayed “missing person” posters featuring Kourtney, Travis, Landon, and even Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian. One actor, wearing The Grabber’s mask, dramatically dragged a body bag from the van adding to the cinematic atmosphere.
The entire scene paid homage to The Black Phone 2, the chilling sequel to the 2021 horror hit. This time, the story follows Finn’s younger sister, Gwen, as she faces The Grabber’s vengeful spirit from beyond the grave.
Kourtney’s love for Halloween is nothing new. The Lemme founder and her husband — the drummer of Blink-182 have long been known for their elaborate costumes and spooky home décor. In past years, they’ve dressed as Morticia and Gomez Addams, characters from Beetlejuice, and The Bride of Chucky. Back in 2021, Kourtney even dubbed herself the “Queen of Halloween,” showing off her lavish decorations featuring skeletons, cobwebs, and metallic skulls. With this year’s movie-style surprise, Kourtney once again proves her Halloween crown is well deserved.
