According to reliable sources, negotiations are ongoing to have Bruce Melodie perform at The Ben’s highly anticipated concert scheduled for January 1, 2026, at BK Arena in Kigali.

While social media reports recently claimed that the deal was already sealed, sources close to the organizers revealed that talks are still in progress. “It’s not true that everything is finalized,” a source told Igihe. “The discussions are about halfway there let’s say 50/50. Nothing is confirmed yet, but there’s a strong possibility it will happen, because it’s something fans have been demanding for a long time.”

Insiders suggest that the ongoing talks revolve mainly around financial and contractual interests of both artists, with each side seeking favorable terms. However, both camps are said to be optimistic that an agreement could be reached soon.

If confirmed, this collaboration would mark a major milestone in Rwanda’s music industry, as The Ben and Bruce Melodie are regarded as two of the country’s most successful and influential performers. Their long-standing dominance and occasional fan rivalry have often fueled public debate over who reigns supreme on Rwanda’s music charts.

This will be the second edition of The Ben’s annual concert series, The New Year Groove, which debuted on January 1, 2025, also at BK Arena.
