Ishimwe Prince, popularly known as Darest, a former member of the now-disbanded group Juda Muzik, has officially tied the knot in a civil marriage ceremony with his fiancée, who lives in the United States.

The ceremony took place on 27 November 2025 at the Nyarugenge Sector offices, marking the couple’s first formal step toward their upcoming wedding.

Following the civil marriage, Darest and his partner, Iradukunda A. Souvenir, are expected to hold their church wedding on 7 December 2025.

Darest proposed on 10 January 2025, asking Souvenir to marry him and spend the rest of their lives together.

The couple’s love story began at a friend’s event where they met, exchanged phone numbers, and later developed a strong bond that eventually grew into a romantic relationship.

Darest rose to fame as part of Juda Muzik, a duo he shared with fellow artist Mbaraga Alex, now known as Malo Junior. The two parted ways in 2023 to pursue solo careers.

In April 2025, Darest released his new album titled “Souvenir53,” explaining at the time that he named it after his fiancée and dedicated the project to her as they prepared for their future together.
