Through his social media platforms, Mbonyi invited fans to attend the much-anticipated Christmas concert, which has become one of Rwanda’s biggest annual music events.

This year’s performance will feature songs from his fifth studio album, “Hobe”, which he recently unveiled at the Intare Conference Arena.

Since 2022, Mbonyi has been hosting his Christmas concerts at BK Arena, a venue known to challenge many artists due to its massive capacity and production demands. However, he has consistently filled the arena each year, earning recognition for his exceptional ability to attract large crowds.

The 2024 edition of Icyambu drew over 10,000 attendees, setting a record for the artist and reinforcing his place among Rwanda’s most influential performers.

Last year’s concert also marked a major milestone in Mbonyi’s career  celebrating 10 years in music since the release of his debut album “Number One” in 2014.

Mbonyi released his second album, “Intashyo,” in 2017 with a live show at Camp Kigali. In 2022, he launched his third album, “Icyambu,” at BK Arena, officially introducing the concert series that has since become a signature part of his musical journey.

In 2023, the gospel singer returned with “Icyambu Live Concert 2” to launch his fourth album, “Nk’Umusirikare.” The upcoming fourth edition will continue that tradition, promising another night of worship, reflection, and celebration at BK Arena this Christmas.
