Trump accuses Zelenskyy of stalling peace proposal
U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not ready to sign the U.S.-proposed peace plan aimed at ending Russia’s war in Ukraine.
Trump made the remarks after American and Ukrainian negotiators concluded three days of talks on Saturday.
Trump criticized Zelenskyy following the U.S. Ukraine negotiations, which ended on Saturday in an attempt to narrow disagreements over the U.S.-drafted peace proposal. But speaking to reporters on Sunday night, Trump said the Ukrainian leader continues to block progress in the talks.
In a press briefing, he stated: “I was a little disappointed that President Zelenskyy had not read the proposal it was just a few hours ago. His people liked it, but he hasn’t read it yet.” The former president added: “I believe Russia has no problem with it, but I’m not sure Zelenskyy accepts it… he’s not ready.”

In fact, according to Euronews, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not publicly stated that he accepts the peace plan put forward by the White House. Instead, Putin said last week that some of Trump’s demands are impossible, even though the initial proposal was largely favorable
