A star studded lineup of some of East Africa’s most recognized DJs is set to light up Bugesera as the year draws to a close. Among the headliners is RJ The DJ, the official DJ for Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz, who will be performing in Rwanda once again alongside Rwanda’s own DJ Phil Peter and Tanzania’s rising icon DJ Mamie.

After a year filled with international shows and multiple appearances in Kigali nightspots, RJ The DJ will this time perform outside the capital in a special event dubbed “Gashora Trip.” The concert is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Ubumuntu Resort in Bugesera District, Eastern Province.

The event brings together an impressive mix of DJs from across the region, including DJ Mamie from Tanzania, DJ Lihle Ndelu from South Africa, and several local talents such as DJ Brianne, DJ Kavori, and Selecta Danny. The show will be hosted by Muyango.

According to organizers, the Gashora Trip concert aims to give residents of Bugesera and surrounding areas a memorable way to usher out the year with top-tier entertainment, cultural connection, and a festive atmosphere.

Speaking to InyaRwanda, DJ Phil Peter expressed excitement about sharing the stage with regional colleagues: “It’s an honor to be part of this concert. It’s a chance to celebrate, connect, and perform alongside talented DJs from Rwanda, Tanzania, South Africa and beyond,” he said.

The concert is expected to deliver the kind of energy that defines East Africa’s music scene  blending Afrobeat, Amapiano, House, R&B, and the unique styles each DJ brings to the decks.
