Three years after young artist Silvizo handed over 300,000 Rwandan francs to kick-start his music journey, producer Element has finally reimbursed him in full, bringing an end to a long and frustrating standoff.

Back in 2022, when Element was still working at Country Records in Nyamirambo, Silvizo entrusted him with the money to produce his debut single. Confident in Element’s abilities and reputation, the aspiring musician believed it was the perfect way to launch his career.

But as weeks turned into months and eventually years the promised song was never completed. Silvizo says he made countless attempts to follow up: calling, messaging, and trying to meet Element to either recover his payment or resume the stalled project. According to him, none of these efforts yielded results.

With time running out and hope fading, Silvizo resorted to a step many emerging artists take when feeling cornered: he went public. Through social media, he shared video evidence showing he had paid Element the 300,000 Frw, explaining that three years had passed without a song and without his money.

In the video, Silvizo even stated that he was ready to involve government institutions including the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) if nothing changed.

Speaking to the local media, Silvizo revealed that everything shifted the moment the video circulated.
“Once Element saw the video I posted, he reached out immediately and paid back all the money,” he said, adding that the matter was now fully resolved.

Silvizo noted that there is no longer any animosity between them. According to him, Element apologized and explained that overwhelming workloads were the main reason the song was never completed.

For Silvizo, the repayment marks the end of a long wait and possibly a new beginning in his pursuit of music.
