Ugandan singer Hajara Namukwaya, better known as Spice Diana, has said she is open to a wide range of possibilities when it comes to marriage including becoming part of a polygamous home or settling down with a Born-Again Christian as long as she believes it aligns with God’s plan for her life.

The singer made the remarks while attending the wedding of fellow artist Chosen Becky and Abdul Ssekajja in Masaka, where she performed for the couple and guests as a close friend of the bride. “Love is what matters most”

Speaking to journalists after the ceremony, Spice Diana revealed that her views on relationships have evolved. When asked what kind of man she envisions marrying, she didn’t narrow it down to common stereotypes like “tall, dark, rich, and single.”

Instead, she emphasized that genuine affection is the only non-negotiable: “I don’t know the kind of man God has prepared for me whether he’s Muslim, Born Again, Catholic, or even already married. What matters is happiness and love; everything else is secondary.”

Believing in divine timing

Spice Diana added that she’s confident her moment will come, noting that each person’s life unfolds in its own season.

“Everyone has their time and destiny. Carol Nantongo used to say she could never be involved in marriage matters, but today she’s in a different place. My time will also come,” she said.

Inspired by Becky and Abdul’s love

Reflecting on the newlyweds, Spice praised Becky’s affection for her husband, saying the warmth and sincerity displayed at the ceremony were deeply touching and gave her hope about love.
