Davido Reacts as Annie Idibia’s Cryptic Message Sparks Buzz About 2Baba
Nigerian superstar Davido has been drawn into the ongoing drama involving Annie Idibia and her ex-husband, music legend 2Baba. Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Annie shared a social media post many interpreted as a subtle jab at 2Baba, sparking widespread reactions online.
The actress had posted a carousel of promotional photos for an upcoming South African event where she and other celebrities are expected to appear as special guests. However, what caught fans’ attention wasn’t the images themselves but her choice of soundtrack: “Enter the Place,” one of 2Baba’s iconic hit songs. Many perceived this as a carefully crafted shade directed at the singer, especially given the current turbulence surrounding his personal life.
This incident unfolds amid 2Baba’s ongoing marital controversy with his new wife, Natasha a topic that has dominated online discussions due to escalating public friction and viral social media drama. Annie’s use of his song only intensified the speculation.
Adding even more fuel to the fire, Davido liked the post a small gesture that quickly ignited online chatter as fans questioned his intentions.
Background: Viral Video and Cryptic Posts
Annie Idibia had already been trending earlier after posting a series of reflective messages on her Instagram Story. These messages appeared shortly after a viral video claimed that her ex-husband, Innocent "2Baba" Idibia, had been arrested in the United Kingdom.
Although Annie did not mention any names, the timing of her posts raised eyebrows. In the circulating footage shared by blogger Tosin Silverdam on TikTok 2Baba is seen speaking with police officers outside what appears to be a retail shop before being escorted away with his hands cuffed behind him.
This clip surfaced just hours after another viral video showed a woman, believed to be 2Baba’s current wife, Osawaru Natasha, arguing with him in a London store and accusing him of repeatedly raising his voice at her.
UK police have not released an official statement confirming any arrest.
Notably, this is not the first time such claims have surfaced. Back in October, rumors emerged that 2Baba had been arrested in London following an altercation with Natasha. The singer denied the allegations, saying his absence from a scheduled UK concert on October 2, 2025, was due to a sudden medical emergency not a domestic dispute.
Annie Idibia Enjoys Family Time Amid the Drama
In a previous report, Annie was seen enjoying a calm family vacation with her daughters and her mother. The peaceful getaway appeared to contrast sharply with the heated controversies surrounding 2Baba’s new marriage. She shared warm photos of their trip on social media, showing herself surrounded by family and serenity.
