The internationally acclaimed Nyege Nyege Festival is set to celebrate its landmark 10th anniversary from November 20–23, 2025, at its new permanent home, Kalagala Falls in Jinja, Uganda.

This year’s edition, themed Ekyigunda Ky’omuliro  The Gathering of the Flame, will extend its influence beyond music, introducing new creative dimensions. For the first time, the festival will showcase sustainable fashion, in collaboration with Kwetu Kwanza, and a curated film program led by Matatu Stage, highlighting emerging cinematic voices from Uganda and across Africa.

Festival co-founder Derek Debru described the milestone edition as the “mother of all festivals,” combining a retrospective of the past decade with a bold vision for the future of African creativity. Alongside more than 300 performances across five stages spanning electronic, amapiano, hip hop, live bands, and traditional sounds the festival will also launch the African Electronic Music Conference, gathering music collectives from across the continent to shape the next chapter of the genre.

Following years of venue changes, the festival has secured Kalagala Falls as its home for the next decade. Spread over 40 acres of pristine wilderness, the site offers both cultural immersion and adventure activities such as rafting and bungee jumping, reinforcing Nyege Nyege’s reputation as the adventure capital of East Africa.

The first lineup announcement features global heavyweights including DJ Skrillex (USA), Flowdan (UK), Tash LC (UK), DJ Travella (Tanzania), Boutross (Kenya), Bclip (Colombia), and Dylan Brady (USA), with more African acts to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Produced by Talent Africa Group (TAG), the festival will also partner with Uganda Breweries Limited’s Uganda Waragi in a joint celebration Uganda Waragi at 60 meets Nyege Nyege at 10. TAG CEO Aly Allibhai emphasized the cultural impact of the event:

“Nyege Nyege at 10 is more than a festival it is a movement that has placed Uganda firmly on the global cultural map.”
