Kim Kardashian is opening up about the emotional and physically demanding weeks she endured while preparing for the California bar exam  a test she revealed earlier this month that she did not pass.

In a heartfelt Instagram video shared on Sunday, Nov. 16, the 45-year-old reality star documented the final two weeks leading up to the exam, capturing the intense pressure, long hours and emotional toll that came with her ongoing journey to become a lawyer. “I’ve shared so much of this journey with you,” Kardashian wrote in the caption. “This summer I documented the final two weeks of studying  the ups, the downs, and everything in between. On November 7th, I found out I didn’t pass the bar. It was disappointing, but it wasn’t the end. This dream means too much to me to walk away from, so I’m going to keep studying, keep learning, and keep showing up for myself until I get there.”

Emotional Preparation

The video opens with Kardashian sitting on her bed in tears before rewinding to show the start of her two-week study timeline. The snapshots reveal the demanding process of preparing for the exam, which includes five one-hour essay questions, a 90-minute performance test, and 200 multiple-choice questions.

Kardashian is seen reviewing case law, working closely with her professors, and spending long hours immersed in study materials. At one point, she said she became so overwhelmed that she began dreaming she was losing points during the test.

The SKIMS founder also disclosed that she injured her back amid the intense preparation, developing “disc issues” that added physical pain to her already mounting stress. “Every time I feel like I’m a step ahead, something happens to try to stop me from doing this,” she said through tears. “A part of me just wants to stop. I feel like my brain’s going to explode and I still have so much more to go.”

A Determined Pursuit

Despite the setbacks, Kardashian pushed through. With her four children away on vacation, she dedicated as much uninterrupted time as possible to getting ready for the test.

On the day before the exam, she expressed cautious optimism: “I feel really good about everything. My body feels good  way better than previous days. I feel prepared.”

But on Nov. 7  the same day as the premiere of Hulu's All’s Fair, in which she stars as a stylish divorce lawyer  Kardashian learned she had not passed. “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories at the time. “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up  just more studying and even more determination.”

She added, “Failing short isn’t failure  it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivated me even more. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way. Let’s go!”
