American superstar Belcalis Almanzar, widely known as Cardi B, has revealed that she is living in fear, claiming that her ex-husband Offset might attempt to harm her following their turbulent separation.

Cardi B filed for divorce in 2024 and has since moved on with a new partner. She says Offset no longer plays any role in her life, describing him as someone who has become “dangerously obsessed” and unable to accept that their relationship has ended.

Her concerns intensified after Offset recently deleted social media posts in which he suggested that the baby Cardi B welcomed with NFL player Stefon Diggs might legally be considered his under Georgia state law.

According to Georgia law, a man can request a DNA test for a child born to a woman he was still legally married to at the time of conception, even if she conceived with another man.

Cardi B Speaks Out: “This Is No Longer a Joke”

In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Cardi B expressed frustration over how the public continues to treat her situation as entertainment, despite the distress she has endured for over a year. “Y’all think it’s funny, but it’s not,” she wrote. “I’ve spent more than a year dealing with harassment and intimidation to the point where I feel my life is in danger. Everything is jokes and memes until things go too far.”

She added that some people will go to extreme lengths for attention on social media behavior she believes could escalate into something much more dangerous. “People will do anything to be talked about. Things can go left so fast because of one video or one rumor online… just leave me alone,” she continued.

Living With Anxiety and Fear

Cardi B admitted that her fears are partly fueled by the violent stories she regularly sees online. “Sometimes I watch true-crime documentaries, and I get scared. Women are killed every day. I wake up wondering, ‘Is this normal? Is this safe?’ It shows me something is not right.”

A Complicated Relationship History

Cardi B and Offset secretly married in 2017 and share three children:

Culture, 7

Wave, 4

Blossom, who recently turned 1

Cardi B filed for divorce in 2024, citing irreconcilable differences. Offset has three other children from previous relationships.

Following their separation, Cardi B frequently accused Offset on social media of neglecting their children and failing to show up as a responsible parent.

In October 2025, Cardi B welcomed a baby boy with Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs, 31. Their relationship became public in May, and the two have since appeared together in multiple events.
