Rwandan gospel star Israel Mbonyi has confirmed that his much-anticipated Icyambu4 concert series will continue beyond Kigali, with a major show scheduled for January 1, 2026, at the Nengo Stadium in Rubavu District.

The announcement comes as Mbonyi intensifies preparations for the flagship Icyambu4 concert set to take place at BK Arena on December 25, 2025.

Speaking during a press briefing on November 19, where he unveiled a new partnership with Airtel Rwanda, Mbonyi said the Rubavu concert is part of his commitment to reach fans outside the capital. “After the Kigali concert on December 25, we will head to Rubavu on January 1. Together with Airtel, we are exploring the possibility of touring several regions, and Rubavu will be the first stop after Kigali,” he told IGIHE.

The gospel artist has held a series of successful end-of-year concerts since 2022, each drawing remarkable attendance and solidifying his reputation as one of Rwanda’s most celebrated performers. This marks the fourth round of his regional concert concept, designed to bring worship experiences closer to his nationwide fanbase.

Mbonyi last performed in Rubavu in 2020 during a concert in Huye, making the upcoming event his second major show in the Western Province under his own planning.

During the tours, Mbonyi will also showcase songs from his fifth studio album, “Hobe”, which he launched on October 6, 2025, at the Intare Conference Arena. Hobe follows his previous albums: Number One (2015), Intashyo (2017), Icyambu (2022), Mbwira, and Nk’umusirikare (2023).

With Rubavu now officially on the schedule, fans in the region are gearing up for what promises to be one of the biggest gospel concerts of the New Year.
