The Ben Set to Feature Alongside Mbosso, Bien, Khaligraph Jones, and Darassa in Upcoming ‘Pawa’ Remix
Tanzanian star Mbosso, one of East Africa’s most celebrated vocalists, has announced the upcoming release of a new version of his hit song “Pawa,” featuring a lineup of prominent regional artists, including Rwanda’s The Ben, Kenya’s Bien and Khaligraph Jones, and Tanzania’s Darassa, Bill Nass, and G Nako.
The original “Pawa” has been one of Mbosso’s most successful tracks, earning millions of streams across digital platforms. The decision to produce a remix brings together some of the region’s biggest talents, in what is expected to be one of East Africa’s most powerful cross-border collaborations in recent years.
According to Mbosso’s management, the remix aims to give fans “a refreshed and more vibrant version” of the hit, while also celebrating the diversity of East African music. Each artist is expected to bring their unique sound ranging from The Ben’s smooth Afro-R&B vocals to Khaligraph Jones’ hard-hitting rap bars.
A Major Collaboration Ahead of The Ben’s New Year Concert
The announcement comes at a time when The Ben is preparing for his highly anticipated “The New Year Groove” concert, scheduled for January 1, 2026, at BK Arena in Kigali. This will be the second edition of the event, following a successful first edition on January 1, 2025.
This year’s concert is expected to draw thousands of fans and will feature performances from some of Rwanda’s biggest artists, including Bruce Melodie. The release of the “Pawa” remix is set to boost excitement among The Ben’s fanbase as he gears up for the new year celebration.
Music analysts say that The Ben’s involvement in such a regional collaboration underscores his rising influence and continued relevance in East Africa’s music scene.
