Rwandan rising star France Mpundu has officially secured a spot in the final phase of the popular reality show Secret Story, as the competition narrows down to the last contestants who will battle for public votes to determine the ultimate winner.

Mpundu’s advancement to the finale comes through a unique twist in the game: she earned her place thanks to Moctar, her partner on the show and the contestant who recently proposed to her live on air. Moctar became the first participant to win a coveted golden ticket to the finale after successfully solving a secret numerical challenge set by the show’s producers.

Rather than keeping the ticket for himself, Moctar asked the showrunners to allow him to give it to France as a gesture of love and confidence in her journey. The organizers approved the heartfelt request, marking one of the most memorable moments in this season’s storyline.

Moctar said he was certain he would reach the final round with or without the ticket, especially since he remains one of the contestant favorites due to his strong performance and popularity inside the house.

When the show released the list of three contestants who face public voting this week those from whom one will be eliminated neither France nor Moctar appeared among them, further strengthening their chances of reaching the ultimate stage.

The latest contestant to secure a direct spot in the finale is Sarah from Côte d’Ivoire, who also earned a ticket similar to Moctar’s. Meanwhile, the three contestants up for elimination this week are Gracy, Moussa, and Joel. Only one of them will leave the show, while the remaining two will join Sarah, France, and Moctar to form a group of five finalists set for the closing week leading to the grand reveal on November 29, 2025.

France Mpundu has been a major highlight of the season not only because of her game performance but also due to her romantic storyline with Moctar, which reached its peak on November 15, 2025, when he proposed to her inside the Secret Story house an emotional moment that captivated viewers across the region.

Secret Story, which airs on CANAL+ POP from Monday to Friday at 20:15 and on CANAL+ Magic every Saturday at 22:30, continues to be one of the most watched shows of the season. The format, originally popularized in France over 18 years ago on networks such as TF1 and RTL Plug, has become a fan favorite across Francophone Africa.

As France Mpundu enters the final stretch, anticipation is building among viewers in Rwanda and beyond to see whether her unique blend of talent, charm, and public support will carry her to victory in one of the region’s most talked-about reality TV competitions.
