Fans Suspect TMC’s Return to Music, But He Says It’s Just for Fun
After four years away from the studio, Mujyanama Claude, better known as TMC from the legendary Rwandan duo Dream Boys, has announced a new single titled “Ese?” sparking speculation among fans that he might be making a comeback.
However, TMC has made it clear that the new release is not a sign of his return to the music scene, but simply something he did for enjoyment.
The singer shared a short teaser of the upcoming song on his social media, captioning it, “Just for fun.”
TMC said he no longer sees himself as an active musician, though he still enjoys recording music occasionally. “Don’t hold me accountable for songs or expect major projects,” he explained. “I’m really just doing this for fun, maybe during my free time or holidays. I’m not back in the music industry.”
TMC last released a song in 2021, a track titled “Uwantwaye.”
As a founding member of Dream Boys, TMC was part of one of Rwanda’s most celebrated music groups alongside Platini, who continues to pursue a solo career and is currently working on a new album with Nel Ngabo.
Since relocating to the United States in 2020 to further his studies, TMC has focused on his personal life and career abroad occasionally reconnecting with his artistic side through music done purely for pleasure.
