The third round of the FA Cup has been set following Monday’s draw, with Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and the rest of the Premier League’s elite discovering who they will face as they join the competition alongside clubs from the Championship.

Non-league sides Macclesfield, Weston-super-Mare and Boreham Wood will also take their place in the hat, continuing their remarkable cup journeys after progressing from the earlier rounds. Boreham Wood will face the winners of Brackley Town vs Burton Albion, the final remaining second-round tie yet to be played.

Macclesfield were handed one of the most eye-catching fixtures of the round: a home tie against defending champions Crystal Palace. Weston-super-Mare, meanwhile, earned an away trip to Grimsby Town.

Across the Premier League, clubs were handed a mix of favorable and challenging tests. Chelsea make the short journey across London to face Charlton Athletic, while Arsenal must travel to Fratton Park for an away clash with Portsmouth.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool were all drawn at home, City hosting Exeter City, United welcoming Brighton in one of the round’s standout all-Premier League ties, and Liverpool paired with Barnsley at Anfield.

Elsewhere, Tottenham will take on Aston Villa in another top-flight showdown, while Derby County and Leeds United renew a rivalry steeped in history, from Brian Clough’s era to the modern-day “Spygate” saga.

Former England internationals Joe Cole and Peter Crouch conducted the draw live on TNT Sports from Brackley’s St James’ Park. Third-round matches are scheduled for the weekend of January 10–11, with winning clubs set to receive £121,500. Losing clubs will earn £26,500, while ties selected for live television will generate additional revenue.
