Eric Trump made the remarks in an interview with  'The Daily Beast',  where he alleged that former U.S. President Joe Biden attempted to separate Donald Trump from Melania Trump.

He said: “He wanted to separate mom and dad, he wanted to break up our family. Merrick Garland was at the forefront of everything. And Joe Biden was leading whole plan when they attacked us, when they raided  Mar-a-Lago, when they went through Melania’s closet, and when they searched the room of 16-year-old,  Barron.”

Eric Trump’s comments came after footage surfaced showing Melania Trump and her husband seemingly arguing when Trump attempted to hold her hand  headed for an official visit to the United Kingdom.

Reports further indicated that during their stay in the UK, Trump and Melania slept in separate bedrooms at Windsor Castle. In May 2025, journalist Michael Wolff said on 'The Daily Beast Podcast'  that Trump and Melania were “separated and not living together.” The White House quickly dismissed the claims, calling Wolff a liar.

In reality, rumors about celebrity marriages often resurface, with claims of separation or marital problems, though they are later denied or disproven.

Besides Trump and Melania’s relationship being the subject of speculation, the marriage of Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama has also faced similar rumors, with repeated reports of a split, although these have always turned out to be unfounded.

At present, Donald Trump remains focused on positioning himself as a global leader capable of reconciling nations in conflict, as well as seeking ways to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.
