Chaos in Makindye as Singer Alien Skin Survives Shooting Incident
Ugandan artist Alien Skin found himself at the center of a dramatic confrontation on Salaama Road, Makindye Division, after gunfire erupted during a tense encounter on Wednesday morning. The musician escaped with only a minor arm injury, but his black BMW sports car was left riddled with bullet holes and disabled by flat tyres.
Witness videos circulating online capture the aftermath—Alien Skin’s vehicle visibly damaged, its body dented and its windows pierced by gunfire.
How the Situation Unfolded
The incident began along a stretch of road currently under construction, where security officials reportedly clashed with the artist. Early accounts indicate that the officers involved fired multiple shots at the vehicle after what they described as interference with ongoing roadworks.
Moments before the shooting, a group of angry residents was seen throwing stones at the singer’s car. Some witnesses accused him of driving carelessly through the construction zone, escalating tensions before the shots were fired.
Alien Skin, however, disputed these accounts. He said he was rushing to the area to support one of his team members, who had been accused of injuring a local resident. According to him, the situation spiraled out of control before he even understood what was happening.
Treatment and Aftermath
Following the confrontation, the singer sought medical care at a nearby clinic, where he was treated for what doctors described as a superficial graze on his arm.
Police Silence Raises Questions
As of publication time, the Uganda Police Force had not released any official statement regarding the shooting leaving many questions unanswered about the actions of the officers involved and the events that triggered the violence.
Authorities are expected to comment as investigations progress, with the public awaiting clarification on a confrontation that has already sparked heated debate online.
