Paul Kagame makes minor Government reshuffle
President Paul Kagame has made minor changes in the Government, which resulted in new appointments for several officials, including Gen (Rtd) James Kabarebe.
A statement released this Monday, December 1, by Prime Minister Justin Nsengiyumva shows that the Head of State appointed Dr. Telesphore Ndabamenye as Minister of Agriculture and Animal Resources.
Dr. Ndabamenye, who had been serving as Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, replaces Dr. Cyubahiro Mark.
Other changes include the appointment of Gen (Rtd) James Kabarebe, who was Minister of State in charge of Foreign Affairs, as Senior Advisor for Military Affairs in the Office of the President.
His previous duties were assigned to Dr. Usta Kayitesi, who had been serving as a senator in the Senate of Rwanda and had spent a year as Chairperson of the Committee on Political Affairs and Governance in the Senate.
