Nigerian singer Mr Eazi has opened up about his marriage to Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, describing their relationship as one built on genuine love rather than wealth.

Speaking on the 90sBaby Show, the Afrobeats star revealed that Temi believed he was “the one” from the very first day they met in 2017. At the time, Mr Eazi was enjoying growing fame in the music industry but admitted he had little financial stability. “I was hot, everyone was singing my songs, but I didn’t really have money in my bank account,” he said.

He emphasized that Temi’s choice to be with him was never about material gain. “If she had met me now, it would have been different. I run a venture capital firm and have invested in more than ten businesses worldwide, from Latin America to Africa. My record label is now worth millions. But she chose me long before all that,” he explained.

Reflecting on money and humility, the artist drew on a Ghanaian proverb to stress that true wealth is quiet. “There’s a saying, Sika mpe dede, which means money doesn’t like noise. A lot of people with real power or old money don’t need to show it,” he said.
