France to host meeting between Rwanda, Burundi, and DRC leaders
France will on October 30, 2025, host a high-level meeting bringing together the Presidents of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, and Rwanda leaders whose relations have recently been marked by heightened tensions.
Reports indicate that in addition to these leaders, the meeting will also be attended by Togo’s President Faure Gnassingbé, who is serving as the African Union mediator, as well as French President Emmanuel Macron.
The meeting, organized in close collaboration with Togo, will primarily aim to encourage the international community to engage in humanitarian efforts in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and the wider Great Lakes region.
