Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta hailed Eberechi Eze’s “incredible composure” after the midfielder’s superb finish earned the Gunners a hard fought 1–0 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Eze’s decisive goal came midway through the second half, when he collected a precise pass from Martin Ødegaard before curling a sensational shot into the top corner. The strike extended Arsenal’s unbeaten run to eight matches and kept them firmly on course in the Premier League title race.

Speaking after the match, Arteta praised Eze’s technique and calmness in front of goal. “Eberechi took his goal incredibly well,” the Arsenal boss said. “He’s been working very hard to adapt to our style, and today you could see the quality he brings when it matters most.”

Crystal Palace battled valiantly at the Emirates, with goalkeeper Dean Henderson producing a series of fine saves to deny Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus. However, their efforts proved in vain as Arsenal’s defence, marshalled by William Saliba, held firm to preserve the clean sheet.

The victory moved Arsenal three points clear at the top of the Premier League table, intensifying belief among fans and pundits alike that this could be their year. Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville told Sky Sports, “its Arsenal’s title to win they look complete, disciplined, and hungry.”

Arsenal now turn their attention to a midweek Champions League clash against Napoli, while Palace will look to regroup before facing Aston Villa at Selhurst Park next weekend.
