Trump rejects Somali immigrant
The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has said he does not want Somali immigrants in America, telling reporters that they should “go back where they came from” and that “their country is not good for a reason.”
On Tuesday, during a cabinet meeting, he said: “I don’t want them in our country, I’m telling you the truth.” Trump said that America “will get worse if we continue admitting garbage into our country.”
His derogatory remarks, as reported by the BBC, came at a time when immigration officials said they were preparing a raid in a Somali-dominated neighborhood in Minnesota.
In response, Somalia’s Prime Minister said he does not value Trump’s comments and urged that they be ignored.
