Riderman Postpones His 20-Year Music Anniversary Concert to 2026
Rwandan rapper Riderman, who has been releasing a series of new songs from his forthcoming album “Umurwa w’Indwanyi” (City of Warriors), has confirmed that his highly anticipated concert celebrating 20 years in music will take place in 2026 instead of this year.
The artist shared the update during a recent interview with journalists while preparing for Papa Cyangwe’s concert, and later reiterated it on November 20, 2025, during the reopening event of Bahause VIP, a renovated nightclub in Nyamirambo.
Riderman said: “Yes, next year we will hold a concert to celebrate my 20 years in the music industry as a solo artist. More details will be shared in the coming days.”
Riderman had initially planned to stage the anniversary concert on December 26, 2025, but the date was pushed forward for two main reasons:
to allow more time for thorough preparation, and
to avoid a clash with the Rap Room event scheduled for the same day, an annual gathering that brings together various rappers.
After consultations with his management team, the rapper decided to move the celebration to 2026, with discussions underway about the possibility of turning it into a national tour, though a final decision has not yet been made.
